The Percentage Inventory for Stock is a representation of your dealership’s ability to fill parts demand from stock, measuring the percentage of the dealer’s inventory ordered for stock.
Formula: Inventory % for Stock = ($ Phase Out + $ Active) / Total On Hand Value
Causes and Remedies for Low Percentage Inventory for Stock
Ordering too much surplus (over and above PartsEye suggested stocking levels).
- Be conservative ordering more than suggested quantities.
Excessive inventory
- Returning all parts on all PartsEye suggested returns.
- Using any special-order return options (These vary by make, and some do, and some do not, have such options).
- Using complete return accrual dollars to return non-guaranteed parts.
- Utilize possible dealer-to-dealer solutions available from the OEM or OEC® if applicable.
