Understanding Net Utilization

KB Article #6869

Net Utilization measures the percentage of part numbers and order lines suggested by PartsEye that are accepted by your dealership. Every part not accepted, including skipped (un-submitted) orders, lowers your Net Utilization and increases the likelihood of not having a part in stock when needed.

Formula: Net Utilization = Accepted % * Utilization %

Causes and Remedies for Low Net Utilization

  • Low acceptance of PartsEye suggestions and skipping orders.
  • Increase acceptance of PartsEye suggestions.
    • Reconsider stocking parts that you may regularly put on the “Override List.”
  • Submit all suggested orders (avoid skipping orders).
  • Skipping or forgetting to submit suggested stock orders will hurt Line Utilization.
  • Remove parts from the Override List.
